Leeches sucked the life out of George Washington, suffering from an infection in his voicebox, causing to essentially strangle to death as the infection expanded the pressure on his esophagus.  The “doctors” of the time agreed on one thing: the patient had a fever, and was suffering from something bad in his blood.  There the agreement ended, as many felt [a consensus, as it were] that these “bad humors” could be removed by bleeding him, via leeches, which sucked on him until his conditioned worsened such that the “treatment” was ended.

Thence our Founding Father died, the doctors unaware that perhaps their “treatment” has hastened his death, and suffering.  The “consensus” about bad humor and leeching a patient was yet to be enlighted by Pasteur’s work, and its proof of the germ theory of infection, to be followed antibiotics.  A simple dose of penicillin [or its pharmacological cousins] would have put George back on his horse, and perhaps in the 1800 campaign for the re-election of his successor, John Adams, against the fully-rancid founder of the democrat party, Thomas Jefferson. [Yes, brilliant; ethical, no way]
 
That GW’s death came early due to the “consensus” over what to do about a danger to a single patient.

Today’s danger is that Global Warming, this year’s GW error by the rising “consensus” of liberals, can affect billions of patients.  Global Warming Hysteria has a patron saint: the Queen of Hearts who railed at Alice in Wonderland: “First the verdict, then the trial” she pronounced.  Damned the evidence, full speed ahead – change the economy, establish world order under liberal leviathons, re-order our priorities across all time zones.

And if the Queen is wrong, she can imitate Gilda Radnor’s Emily Litella: “Never Mind!”
 
Those who signed the UN ‘protocol’ do not comprise a consensus of the “world’s scientists” or even a majority of its climatological specialists.  The total number of names is less than 200, even fewer with serious climate credentials. Yet, we are to take Emily’s List of Evils and reform our economy, and lose efficiency, in the name of the Queen of Hearts’ declaration?
 
The diagnosis is early, its evidence is scanty, the priests of global warming are too anxious to find a wedge issue to force their socialist inclinations onto the body politic, and will not await the evidence before dispatching the Queen of Hearts to issue her heartless [yet pretentious of compassion] verdict.
 
These physicians of the earth could well strangle the body politic, all in the interest of more government, more regulations, more wagging fingers “thou shalt not” even as Gore’s carbon footprint is akin to Godzilla’s.  Like Godzilla, these physicians are a clumsy, dangerous lot.  So that is my judgment in advance of viewing Sir Gore’s thesis nailed to the door of our economy.  Many analyses have preceded mine.
 
Will it stand up to scrutiny? Will liberals – so anxious for apologies from Bush – proffer a loud and proud apology if global warming abates at the end of the century, as some predict?  An alternate film is making the film-festival route – will it find a slot on ShowTime, to match tonight’s screening?
 
We’ll see.  Today’s GW could strangle our body politic, as surely as the doctors’ leeches sucked the hemoglobin our of our first President’s body corporeal.  What we “know” is the planet is warmer, and that CO2 has a role, and that there’s been an increase in that gas over the last century.  What we also “know” is not so readily broadcast on the evening news, or in liberal blogs: only 14% of that increase comes from humans.  That is a small crime for such a big blame – which focuses on America, of course.  Can you newsies spell C-h-i-n-a?  Or E-u-r-o-p-e?  How about I-n-d-i-a?
 
Now to see the screed, spend two hours’ valuable time.  And search for the “diversity” of cinematic opinion on the issue.  And see if Gore is akin to “Supersize Me” and its rigged POV.  Will Gore mention the 14% data?
 
Stay tuned, stay aware, and stay sharp – we’ve got a body politic to save, before Dr. Gozilla leaves his own carbon footprint up our economic rectum.  “Never mind” won’t do it when we’re engaged in damaging the economy, disrupting societies, and invading privacy in manners that dwarf the homeland security protocols.  To The Movies…..
