Politics, football and a new year...
[John Campbell] 12/22/03
Now that the recall has come to an end
And to Sacramento the Terminator we send
The future again may begin to be bright
but there are still many things that must be set right
A budget
that balances during our lows and our highs
And taxes that never again will rise
A limit on spending to slow government growth to a crawl
And a business climate where Kahleefornia is the envy of all
But
now as we approach the end of the year
Some things of great significance start to be clear
USC football should be number one without doubt
And the BCS system should be wholly thrown out
I thought only
Democrats could design a system so bad
And I do say all this as a USC grad
So for the next couple of weeks my teams I will cheer
And this will be your last report for this year
January will bring
the Trojans number one
Also more reports about all politics under the sun
Until then may your home be filled with good cheer
And the best to you all in the coming New Year
